2014 ESTATE pinot noir
HERON LAKE VINEYARD
100% Pinot Noir | 13.8% Alcohol
Winemaker’s Notes: Beautifully supple and seductive, focused and expressive and generous at the same time. Lovely density to the dark plum, wild cherry, rosewater, and dried ginger notes so typical of this vineyard. The mid palate expands and opens as it gains momentum toward a very long finish.
2014 ESTATE CHARDONNAY
HERON LAKE VINEYARD
100% Chardonnay | 14.1% Alcohol
Winemaker’s Notes: This lovely Chardonnay has both purity and complexity. It has fruit notes of apricot, white peaches, and honeydew melon, as well as layered flavors of creme brûlée and baked apple. The structure is elegant and focused. The mouthfeel is fresh and lively without being weighty. The finish goes on for at least two minutes.
2017 “TAQUINE" proprietary white wine
40% Chardonnay, 38% Viogner, 14% Vermentino, 8% Muscat | 13.5% Alcohol
Winemaker’s Notes: The foundation of this beautiful white wine is our reserve Chardonnay. This blend of four varietals is a fabulous summer wine high in acidity but broad in finish with pronounced aromatics. It delivers on all accounts and has generated a loyal following among those folks who have tried it.
2017 vin gris of syrah
SHRAEDER RANCH VINEYARD, MENDOCINO
100% Syrah, Direct-to-press style wine, Mendocino AVA | 13.1% Alcohol
Winemaker’s Notes: This is very dry, Provence-inspired wine – a white wine made with red grapes. It comes from a Russian River vineyard that grows fruit in a way that enhances the strawberry, summer melon and fresh rose petal aromatics. The grapes were picked and settled in the press for about one hour to extract a delicate pink color, then aged 6 months in neutral French Oak. True to its style, this wine is enjoyed in classic French restaurants in Napa Valley such as Thomas Keller’s Bouchon.
2013 cabernet sauvignon
PALLADIAN ESTATE VINEYARD, ST. HELENA
85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc | 13.9% Alcohol
Winemaker’s Notes: Next to the benchmark 2007 Napa Valley vintage, this is the best Palladian Cabernet produced in 17 years. Bordeaux-esque acidity is balanced by affirming structure, silky texture and complexity in the finish. Pronounced aromatics of cherries, cigar box cedar, and red currant greet the nose. In keeping with historic production methods of the great Bordeaux’s, alcohol is intentionally reduced through the open top fermenters and 100% humidity cave in which the wine is aged.
